Oral and Poster Presentation Guidelines

Oral presentation guidelines

  • Allowable Presentation File Format: Microsoft Office PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)

  • Please optimize your ppt slide to conform the 16:9 aspect ratio.

  • Use standard fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, or Verdana which will be installed on the session room computers. If you use any unique fonts, your presentation may not operate correctly on the session room computer.
  • Even if you are giving a presentation by means of PowerPoint, please make Adobe Acrobat file (.pdf) of the same contents and bring it for backing up defects of the display.
  • Computers are based on Windows system, be careful about the compatibility with other operating systems (e.g. macOS).
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Due to the large number of presentations and halls running at the same time, the organization ask you to send in advance your ppt. You can upload it on the button you will find below. Even if you send it in advance you will be able to check it prior to your speech at the Audiovisual Secretariat.
  • If you need to check your ppt, please do it at the Audiovisuals Secretariat at least 1 hour before your speech.
  • Presenters will be able to control their presentation slides by using a keyboard, mouse or wireless remote pointer at the podium.
  • There will be staff stationed in each session room to assist with any technical issues.
  • It is important that you arrive at your session room at least 10 minutes before the start of session to make sure that everything prepares for your presentation.

According to the presentation type, the allocated presentation time is different. Please refer to the time standard below:

  • Keynote Presentation: 45 min. (40 min + 5 min Q&A) per each
  • Plenary Presentation: 40 min. (35 min + 5 min Q&A) per each
  • Oral Presentation: 25 min. (20 min + 5 min Q&A) per each
